  1. thanks for the info
  2. haven't thought about that, but I have test pc's at home. It sure makes it more interesting though, but when I think about it, you need a infected pc to test it on. btw. Do you know if there are any examples for these kind of tools, code I mean? thanks for the guide lines
  3. Hi all, does anybody how to start on virus removal tools, like the ones from Symantec. I'm pretty new to vb.net, but hey I want to learn. How do I start and where? I can't find any info on the web like examples or something. thanks in advance
  4. I forgot to install the web dev. tools in the install itself, because it was out of option when I installed it, because I didn't had IIS installed yet before I installed the .NET disc this solved the case, after I installed it I still had to run the aspnet_regiis.exe -i . thanks all
  5. it's a clean and new install
  6. I installed sdk as well. but I'm going to try andy's version first. the problem is that I can't even start to build a asp.net file as it gives the error straight away when selecting the asp.net application in VS.Net Let you all know if th any's version works thanks to all
  7. Let me refrase it ;) I'm dutch :D I'm a newbee and installed vs.net on my pc. everything from the dvd (which took me an hour to install...) but now when I want to start a new asp.net page I get an error, that the service is not capable of running my file. I don't have the exact error right now, cause I'm at work at the moment and don't have it running here yet. it's frame work version 1.1 does this ring a bell?
  8. It seems that IIS 5.1 (which I have from XP pro) doesn't want to handle my asp.net extentions. It fails when I try to start a new asp page in VS.NET. Is there anyone who had this problem? I installed the .NET framework and my book tells me it's okay to use IIS 5.X, when the framework is there.... What am I doing wrong here? thanks for the input. CornElvis
  9. what did you exactly do? thanks
  10. I think I have the same problem, but the problem is that IIS 5.1 is not capable of handling .NET as far as I'm aware of. So my question now is how do I upgrade or how can I set the preverences to look at a different server instead of IIS? I have recently installed asp webmatrix, which has a build in server on it's own, can I set it to that one? Or can I install a third party server on there and set it to that? Should be possible I quess, but where and how. thanks in advance CornElvis
